The Kalita Wave is a relatively new brewing device. This is one we love to take traveling due to its durability, or just to look at because, well, its beautiful. It's flat bottom and steep walls allows us to produce clean, even extractions every time.

What you need: 1 kalita. 25 grams of your favorite coffee. Grinder. Scale. 400 grams of water fresh off the boil. Timer. Mug.

Step 1: Rinse your filter. This will also preheat your decanter.

Step 2: Grind coffee to the consistency of table salt.

Step 3: Add coffee to Kalita and pour a bloom of 50g of water. 

Step 4: Wait for 45 seconds. 

Step 5: At 45 seconds pour from 50g-200g over the course of 15 seconds. From 1:00 to 1:30 let coffee drain.

Step 6: Pour from 200g-400g by 2 minutes. Let drain. 

Step 7: Sip and enjoy.
