Shipping 

We pride ourselves on quality over quantity. When you order coffee from us, your order is received, put with a few others and then planned for roasting, packaging, and shipping. Generally we get coffees out next day, on occasion it can take up to 2 days for your order to ship. We promise to keep these ocassions rare. Rest assured, we are taking very special care of your coffee. The price of shipping is included with a membership package.

Returns

We unfortunately cannot take returns on roasted coffee. This is due to the fact that it is a perishable item. We want you to love your coffee and If there are any issues, please use the contact us form or call us at (515) 292 2425 and let us know about the  issue. We promise to do all that we can in order to get you back on the right track. 

We do accept returns on non perishable items that are defective or unused.  Please be sure to return or exchange them within 30 days from your order. Our address is 2214 229th Place Ames, IA 50010. 

Coffee Availability 

Coffee seasons come and go. Just like us. We embrace it and source our coffees seasonally. Some of our producers have only one harvest. We only source the freshest green coffees when they are in season. If you're not into change, we get it, no pressure.

Coffee Style

We try to steer clear of defining our coffees too much. They are all great and unique in their own right. We see ourselves as roasting common persons coffee.  Seeking to highlight origin characteristics, while making the cup sweet and balanced. 

In the quest to highlight the best characteristics of each coffee or blend, we do offer a range of roasting profiles from classic to modern. We are sure, you’ll find a coffee and roast that you’ll love.  

Sourcing Practices         

We utilize a variety of resources in order to procure awesome green coffee. We work with producers, associations, exporters, and importers in order to bring the seasons freshest coffees to your door. We look for transparency, fair labor practices, honesty, and authenticity when building partnerships with our coffee friends. Finally, we taste a ton of coffee to find the lots we carry. We look for coffee we like, that tastes great, and that we believe in.


Truth be told there are many different types of relationships that can exist within coffee purchasing. Again, we seek transparency, openness and quality in all areas. We aim to be constantly learning about what is best for coffee producers and our customers. We will continue to pursue coffees that will lead to year after year relationships. Coffee purchasing requires the knowledge that agriculture products will change, year to year and season to season. Like coffee, we will continue to grow and evolve. We aim to be active players in pursuing quality, in both coffee and life.

Subscription

Subscription members will receive freshly roasted coffee based upon their date of order and their chosen subscription type. In most cases your coffee will be roasted and shipped same day. Subscription can be cancelled at anytime via your account page. Shipping is always included with a subscription. Your checking account and/or credit card will be billed the day of shipment. Roaster’s choice members will receive a rotating and ever changing lineup of coffee including single origins and blends. Blend members will receive a rotation of one of our four year round blend. If blend members would like to request a specific blend from our lineup drop us a line and we can make that happen. Single origin members will receive one of our seasonal single origin coffees. Current offerings can always be found on our shop page, listing information, tasting notes, etc. We will ensure that each members receives a varied lineup of coffees.
